Creator Policy
Last updated: 13 June 2026
This Creator Policy applies to every member who earns on Waves — by offering paid subscriptions, selling access to content, receiving virtual gifts, going live for rewards, or otherwise monetising on the platform (a "Creator"). It supplements, and is part of, our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. If there is any conflict, the Terms of Use control.
By enabling monetisation, you agree to this Policy.
1. Who can be a Creator
To monetise on Waves you must:
- Be at least 18 years old and have completed identity verification;
- Complete any additional KYC / payout onboarding we require (which may include government ID and bank/payout details);
- Be the genuine owner of your account and content; and
- Comply with all applicable laws and our policies.
We may decline, pause, or revoke Creator status at our discretion.
2. Content standards — what's allowed
You may share lawful photos, video, live streams, and posts that you own or are licensed to use, consistent with our community standards. You are responsible for everything you publish.
3. Prohibited content and conduct
You must not create, post, sell, or promote:
- Anything involving minors, or anyone who appears to be a minor — zero tolerance, reported to authorities.
- Non-consensual content — including content featuring any other person without their verified, written consent, hidden-camera or "leaked" material, or non-consensual intimate images.
- Commercial sexual services or solicitation — you may not use Waves to offer, advertise, arrange, or imply prostitution, escort/"companionship-for-pay", or sex, dates, or meetings in exchange for money or other consideration. Selling content on the platform is different from selling in-person sexual services, which is prohibited.
- Content that is illegal, that depicts non-consensual violence, bestiality, incest, or that violates anyone's rights.
- Hate speech, harassment, threats, or content that exploits or endangers others.
- Impersonation, deceptive offers, scams, or misrepresenting what a subscriber will receive.
Content limits (such as nudity rules) may be set by us and by our payment partners, and may change. Content that our payment processors prohibit is not allowed on Waves.
4. Consent and third parties
If another identifiable person appears in your content, you must have their explicit, verifiable consent and be able to provide proof on request. You must not feature anyone who has not agreed to appear.
5. Payments, payouts and fees
- All member payments flow to Waves, which then accounts to Creators. Waves never operates an escrow or transfers money directly between members.
- We deduct a platform fee and applicable payment-processing and tax amounts; the current fee schedule is shown in your Creator dashboard.
- Payouts are made to your verified payout method, subject to KYC, minimum thresholds, holding periods, and fraud/chargeback checks.
- You are responsible for your own taxes on amounts you earn.
- No payment circumvention. You must not direct subscribers to pay you off-platform to avoid fees or our rules, and you must not use Waves to arrange paid in-person services.
6. Subscriber relationships
- Honour what you advertise. Deliver the content or access subscribers paid for.
- Treat subscribers with respect; harassment or deceptive practices are prohibited.
- Subscriptions and purchases are handled under our Terms of Use; refunds are limited as described there and may be issued at our discretion or where required by law.
7. Licence to your content
You keep ownership of your content. You grant Waves the licence described in our Terms of Use to host and display it to deliver the Service, plus the right to use non-explicit excerpts to promote your Creator profile unless you opt out in settings.
8. Takedowns, copyright and reporting
We remove content that violates this Policy or the law. If you believe content infringes your copyright or features you without consent, contact legal@meetbywave.com with details and we will review and, where appropriate, remove it and act against the responsible account.
9. Suspension and termination
Violations may result in content removal, withheld payouts (for fraud, chargebacks, or illegal content), loss of Creator status, or account termination. Serious violations — especially anything involving minors or non-consensual content — result in an immediate permanent ban and may be reported to law enforcement.
